Explore Breadalbane:  The Year-Round Visitor Experience

The Gaelic words Bràghad Albainn mean 'the high ground of Scotland', a fitting name as the dominant mountain, Ben Lawers, is the highest in Scotland outwith the Nevis and Cairngorm ranges.

Although the area is centred on the upper reaches of the Tay river and loch system, it has no precise geographic definition.  Here we use the name Breadalbane to tell you about the many attractions that can you enjoy, year-round, in the basin of the upper Tay from Tyndrum in the west to Kenmore in the east, and from Glen Lyon in the north to Balquidder and Strathyre in the south.

On these pages we hope to show you many of the attractions and promotions that local tourism providers are offering throughout the year.  You can find more details of current packages here.

You can also find a comprehensive list of things to see and do in the Perthshire area at Welcome to Scotland.  And if you still can't find what you wish to know about the Breadalbane area, just click on the More Information link on the left-hand panel and send us your query.  We'll try to get back to you as soon as possible.
